Tommies Welcomes New Defensive Star Nana Osei-Bonso
Fredericton, NB – St. Thomas University Athletics is thrilled to announce the signing of Nana Osei-Bonso from Etobicoke, Ontario. Nana, a standout center back currently playing for Vaughn OSL, will be joining the St. Thomas Tommies for the upcoming 2024 season.
Nana Osei-Bonso expressed his excitement about joining St. Thomas University, stating, "I chose St. Thomas because it’s a school that excels academically and has a great soccer team. I wanted to be a part of a university program that provided both.
Nana is thrilled to join a team with a history of excellence and a strong sense of community. "I bring a winning attitude, an excellent work ethic, and a team-first mentality. My goal for this fall is simple: Help bring the ACAA banner back to St. Thomas and win the CCAA Nationals in front of our home fans".
Nana is eager to contribute to the team's success and make a significant impact in his first year for the Tommies.
Coach JR on Nana Osei-Bonso:
"I am very happy to be bringing in Nana to our important 2024 recruiting class. Our defensive record over the past three seasons has been the catalyst to our regular season success, and Nana will further ensure that success going forward. He's a big, strong center back who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and will be looking to fight for a starting spot as a rookie."
St. Thomas Athletics is thrilled to welcome Nana Osei-Bonso to the Tommies family. Nana's addition to the team is anticipated to significantly bolster the Tommies defensive lineup, bringing a new level of strength and skill to the squad.
