Tommies Men's Soccer Add Wingback Aiden Liddle
FREDERICTON, NB – Tommies men’s soccer program is excited to announce the addition of local talent Aiden Liddle, a versatile defender transferring from Mount Allison University.
A Fredericton native, Liddle brings AUS experience and a dynamic presence to the Tommies backline. Comfortable in the wingback position or anywhere across the defensive line, he is eager to return to his hometown and make an impact both on and off the pitch.
“I’m excited to bring a positive attitude to the Tommies program,” said Liddle. “I want to put smiles on everyone’s faces, enjoy this awesome program, and contribute to a competitive and winning culture.”
Liddle says he chose St. Thomas because of its strong academic and athletic environment. “STU fosters a learn-first atmosphere, and I’m excited to be a part of that. Coming back to my hometown to grow as a student and athlete is something that really motivates me.”
With a reputation for being a strong communicator and relentless competitor, Liddle is ready to embrace the challenge ahead. “The Tommies are an elite program. The brotherhood is strong, the team cares about performance on and off the pitch, and I’m looking forward to bonding with my new teammates and being a positive contribution on the field.”
Liddle also expressed his excitement to play under new head coach Miles Pinsent. “Having a new coach is a great opportunity. Miles brings tremendous experience, and I’m stoked to learn from him and build that connection.”
The Tommies will open their 2025 ACAA campaign this fall, with Liddle expected to bring leadership, and hometown pride to a team with championship aspirations.
