Pinsent Adds Joseph Al Morr for 2025-26
Fredericton, NB — The St. Thomas University Men’s Soccer team is excited to announce the addition of Joseph Al Morr a centre-back from Ottawa, Ontario, as their second recruit for the 2024-25 season.
A product of the West Ottawa Soccer Club, Al Morr brings a commanding presence to the back line with a skill set built around strong defensive instincts, smart positioning, and a calm, composed approach to the game.
“I bring strong defensive skills, excellent positioning, and the ability to read the game,” said Al Morr. “I communicate well with teammates, lead from the back, and maintain focus under pressure. My solid tackling, quick decision-making, and ability to transition the ball will help keep the team organized and create opportunities going forward.”
Drawn to St. Thomas for its close-knit campus and strong student-athlete support, Al Morr is eager to take the next step in his academic and athletic career.
“I chose St. Thomas University because of its strong community and the opportunity to grow both academically and athletically. I’m excited to bring my passion, dedication, and teamwork to the Tommies soccer team.”
Al Morr plans to pursue studies in Law, Politics, and Society, and is looking forward to working under the leadership of head coach Miles Pinsent.
“STU offers a great academic experience with small class sizes, allowing for personalized attention. The athletic programs are strong, and the coach is highly regarded for his dedication, leadership, and ability to support both athletic and personal growth in athletes. He fosters a positive, team-focused environment.”
Coach Pinsent is looking forward to see Al Morr wearing the green and gold next fall saying that his athleticism, skill-set, and experience playing at a high level will enable him to be an impact player.
