Fredericton, NB – St. Thomas University Tommies defended their home court at the LB Gym with a solid 61-49 victory over King's College Blue Devils.
The Tommies came out strong, setting the tone with a dominant 23-12 first quarter. They continued to build their lead in the second, holding UKC to just seven points and entering halftime up 36-19.
Despite a more balanced third quarter, the Blue Devils struggled to find offensive rhythm. However, UKC mounted a late push in the fourth, outscoring STU 23-14, but it wasn't enough to close the gap.
With a well-rounded effort on both ends of the floor, the Tommies secured their sixth win of the season 61-49, maintaining control throughout the game despite UKC's late surge.
