The St. Thomas Tommies defeated the Dalhousie Tigers 3-2 in AUS women's hockey action Saturday night in Halifax.
The Tommies outshot the Tigers 14-9 in the opening frame and were rewarded at 15:04 with a goal from Samantha Squires.
Emily Oleksuk extended the Tommies lead to 2-0 midway through the second, finishing a set up from Alex Woods.
The Tigers got one back 5:34 into the third when Annika Rose beat Tommies netminder Taylor Cook, but Oleksuk restored the Tommies' two-goal lead at 12:37 with her second of the game.
Victoria MacIntosh added a power play goal for the Tigers with 3:50 to go, but that was as close as they would get.
Cook earned the win in net, making 31 saves.
Oleksuk was named the Subway Player of the Game for her two-goal performance.
